2000 Mile Bombing Radius
on a probably related subject, this photo gallery of Hiroshima and Nagasaki before and after the bomb might cause an impression on you. Of course, it only shows buildings, as a before-after of people would be difficult to achieve, because a ton of those people were reduced to dust. No photos there.
The Hiroshima bomb instantly killed 80,000 people and 60000 more died from radiation or injuries by the end of the year. In a way, that makes Einstein partially responsible of the disappearance of 40% of Hiroshima’s population in 1945. He later said (to a japanese publication) that his participation in the production of the atom bomb consisted in a single act: signing a letter to President Roosevelt. Of course he’s not to blame, but it goes to show that even small acts can directly or indirectly lead to huge consequences.
I’m not making sense anymore, so I suggest you go read something with a more profound meaning.
